Seminar “Water as a Tool of Cleaner Production Concept”

Seminar for the experts who have completed a training course on introduction of the UNIDO methodology of cleaner production in Ukraine took place at Kyiv Center of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production on the 25th of December, 2013. T.Kniazkova, PhD in Technical Science,National CRECP Expert on water management, made a presentation “Water as a Tool of Cleaner Production Concept”. The presentation focused on information needed for the assessment of water consumption by the companies and measures aimed at increase of the efficiency of industrial water consumption.

After the seminar the results of work related to CP introduction in the project target regions in 2012-2013 have been summarized. The results of the analysis of technical audit of the companies involved into the project previous stage have been presented by Yu.Gaidayenko, Technical Assistant to the Regional Coordinator in Kiev region.

V.M.Redchyk, CRECP representative in Vinnitsa region, informed the participants about the results of the companies pre-assessment in Vinnitsa region. Exchange of information and experience between the Centre regional offices is an important element of the RECP project implementation.

Awarding of the UNIDO certificates to the Center experts became a final bright spot of the event. Currently seventeen certified experts are ready to provide services to the Ukrainian companies based on the UNIDO methodology.
