The Round Table “Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production at the enterprises of construction materials’ sector”

On August 6th, 2014 the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Center together with the Ukrainian League of Construction Materials Producers conducted the Round Table “Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production at the enterprises of construction materials’ sector’ in the framework of the Demonstration Project of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) - Programme EaP GREEN.

The event participants included Ivan Salii, the President of the Ukrainian League of Construction Materials Producers, representatives and technical managers of local industrial enterprises, representatives of research institutions and scientific journals.

During the event the participants were infomed about the activities of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre in Ukraine, the conditions of participation of local enterprises in the international UNIDO projects, as well as the possibilities for practical introduction of resource efficient and cleaner production (RECP) UNIDO methodology at the Ukrainian enterprises. In addition, the participants also discussed the problematic issues and ways of overcoming of RECP barriers that exist at the enterprises of construction materials’ sector, as well as opportunities for practical implementation of solutions for efficient use of raw materials and energy resources.
