Review seminar

RECP Centre hosted the review seminar on February 13, 2015. The aim of it was to clarify current state of RECP assessments of enterprises involved into the project and to make additional contribution to the development of reports with adequate and effective RECP options.

Firstly, the Project Manager, Chief of Industrial Resource Efficiency Unit (UNIDO) Rene Van Berkel make an opening speech about importance of implementation and resultative dissemination of RECP. National Coordinator Mariia Tsybka informed participants about execution of project in Ukraine and emphasized the main successes and challenges. Then Project Manager, NC and representatives of Focal Points together with other participants discussed the project implementation. Consequently, the project progress was adopted as proper especially taking into consideration general situation in Ukraine.

The second part of review seminar was devoted to presentation of achieved results of RECP assessments of enterprises. Experts and involved to assessment trainees delivered the main information about assessed companies (“House-building factory #3”, “Promimpex”, “Kombinat budindustrii”, “Plant “Spetsbeton”, “Plant of reinforced concrete construction #1”) and attained indicators of their effectiveness together with the bechmarking. Also speakers described the generated options for improving of energy, material and water efficiency. During the discussion section participants considered the achieved results, generated options and uncovered problems for each enterprises. Participants (including experts from RECP Centre) dwelled on each report to discuss them and to offer some additional options. The project management pointed the high level of presented options and assessments in generall. To finish the current stage of project in Ukraine participants accepted the decision on next steps and timeframe of final reports development.
