The 1st basic training of national RECP experts under the second phase

The 1^st basic training of national RECP experts under the second phase of Demonstration RECP Project in Ukraine was conducted on June 30 – July 3, 2015 in Kyiv. The trainer was Johannes Fresner - International Expert from Austria. 10 national trainees participated this event. They were identified and selected from relevant technical and/or business institutions as they had an engineering or highly related disciplinary background, demonstrated experience in service delivery to enterprises and demonstrated affinity and understanding of environment and energy issues.

The basic training was devoted to the RECP assessment methodology, studied RECP Training Programme Modules from 1 to 6 and included a combination of in-class training and supervised execution of RECP assessment(s) for selected companies using the UNIDO CP Toolkit. Training exercises were included to each Module. In addition, some practical examples were studied. Participants of training had the opportunity of non-official discussion of examined questions during coffee-breaks. On the last in-class day all the trainees passed the final test.

During the last training day 2 companies were visited. Basic resources consumption data was collected, the acquaintance of technological process of construction materials production was made, and main issues for RECP assessment at the site were pointed by trainer.
