Cooperation within UNIDO project Implementation

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine jointly with the Kyiv City Innovative Sectoral Organization of Employers "Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Center" signed a Cooperation and Coordination Agreement on resource efficient and environmental activities to be implemented at the enterprises in Lviv region.

In particular, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources acted as a partner and demonstrated the relevance of the project “Promoting the Adaptation and Adoption of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) through the Establishment and Operation of a Cleaner Production Centre (CPC) in Ukraine” being implemented within United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) framework.

Within cooperation framework the Department of Environment is committed to:

- Assist in attracting businesses and organizations in Lviv region to implement projects in resource efficiency (UNIDO Project framework);

- Provide and promote awareness raising on energy efficiency and ecology focused issues (so-called “green mind”) for industrial and municipal representatives in Lviv region.
