Specialists of about 30 of Zaporizhzhia companies took part in training on efficient use of electricity in industry

On October 7-8 2015, Center of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production with support of Zaporizhzhіa Chamber of Commerce held a specialized training course for energy efficiency in industry in the city of Zaporizhzhіa. The author of the course is an electrical engineer with international experience in the field of energy efficiency of production processes Holger Papst (Lenum AG, Switzerland).

The goal of this educational project is to combine theoretical knowledge of experts in the field of electrical engineering with practical skills in the use of electricity industry. The participants - and it is about 30 specialists from Zaporizhzhia enterprises - had the opportunity to work out some practical approaches on more efficient use of electricity in the production and auxiliary processes based on concrete examples and tasks.

In particular, they discussed the following questions: the basic principles of energy use in industry; the environmental impact of different energy sources; processes associated with the consumption of electricity in the industry; best technologies related to the optimization of electric energy consumption and their application; calculation of economic and environmental benefits from optimized use of electricity (based on examples from separate branches).

All participants of the training course received certificates, as well as information reference materials that will be useful to them in their future work at the enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region.
