A professional training in the field of «Resource and energy efficient technologies» will enable retired ATO veterans and servicemen obtain decent jobs

The fall semester of study program on professional training and retraining of the retired Military Forces of Ukrainestarted on8 of September. 37 militaries, including members of ATO, military from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, The Security Service of Ukraine, State Guard of Ukraine, and their family members took part in establishing meeting.

Training course “Resource and energy efficient technologies” is performed by Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre in framework of the project «Retraining and social adaptation of servicemen and their families in Ukraine» (project «UKRAINE-NORWAY»). The total amount of training time is 500 hours and it includes theoretical and practical classes onthe fundamentals of electric and heat engineering, energy saving in heat and electricity supply systems and other disciplines. Course participants going to perform practical trainings at the industrial and municipal enterprises in Kiev and regions.

According to the Centre’s Director Ighor Shylovich, retraining in the direction of "resource efficient technologies" was already obtained by around 50 militaries. A certificate on successful completion of the trainingprovides the opportunity to work in the field of energy audit, distribution and installation of industrial equipment, technical maintenance of heating systems and hot water supplyfor residential buildings, management of Condominium associations. For the moment, five graduates of the course are working as experts in RECP Centre.

According to president of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation Volodymyr Rubtsov, starting from 2003, in total around 7000 Ukrainian militaries took part in the project “Ukraine-Norway”. That had chance to obtain demanded on the labor market qualification, grow strong social connections and professional productivity in their new civilian environment.

Consultations on social and professional adaptation for listenersforeseenwithin the course.Also project participants can rely on employment assistance. Training for the military is free of charge. Project is implemented under support of The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
